Hello, friend. My name is Carrie. I'm originally from the DC Metropolitan area but I'm now living a penniless existence (almost literally, I need a job sooooo bad) as a college student (Sophomore!) at New York University, where I'm an English major, minoring in History and Africana Studies. And even though I go to NYU, I've NEVER seen the Olsens. So don't ask. And "when I grow up," I plan on going into publishing, hopefully with Scholastic, but I really want to write novels. My screename (Carolina) is a blending of my first and middle name. And here's a picture of yours truly:
![]() I got into graphic art my senior year of high school (about two years ago) because I have a xanga and I wanted to learn how to make it pretty. I mainly do photomanipulation (blending, colourisation) but I've been into vector/vexelling lately. It's a test of my patience and artistic stamina. My tool of trade is Illustrator. I've done vexels with Photoshop but I dislike it immensely, especially since they've come out looking like crap. The pen tool in Illustrator pwns the pen tool in Photoshop. Other than graphic art, reading, and writing (obviously) one of my greatest loves is music. I'm best friends with my iPod, which I've named Rosaura. I pretty much like all types of music and I'm willing to give anything a listen. As of late, I've been really into Kanye West and Bloc Party. Reality TV is my ultimate guilty pleasure. My favorites are America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, and What Not to Wear. I'm a generally quiet person but that's just until you get to know me. I love laughing, I love being loud, and I love being vulgar. If you want more on me, you can visit my xanga and my site. - - - Currently working on: Vector mural of Hindu gods, goddesses, heros, and heroines.
