Alright, we've talked about (well, ya'll have talked about ; ) ) the way you see things in vexel a lot of the time. Well, I find myself wondering about photos instead of seeing things in vexel. This morning I was looking at the 'Girls of the WB' collab thread and I was wondering whether or not the girls are on the set together?

(i hope that it's o.k. to link to things on image shack? I dunno how it works or if people have their own accounts or what, I'll upload it elsewhere if it's a problem)

If the camera was kept on a tripod it would be so very easy to go in and add them all after getting what the photographer/editor thought was the best shot of each, you know? I wonder about things like this in the media ALLL the time. Does anyone else share this particular mental ailment? : )

For example the Desperate Housewive picture where all of them lay in apples, you know? that's so manipulated. I do manips by myself.. so I think I'm quite good at recognizing them. xDD Don't know.

What I absolutely dislike is when all those magazines like J14 and stuff like that (ja well meh used to have them years ago (I ) color eyes "boyband video" blue. And whiten teeth and stuff. Hate it. It's just soooo obvious and dumb.

But this one is tricky. The leaves and everything fits except of some transitions between the dresses. For example the transition between Keris and Alyssas Dress is strange. Blurry. Kind of. And dark. It's tricky...

Heh, yes : ) It looks like some part of Keri's dress was mistakenly cut off.

It's a manip. Some of the dresses are blowing in the wind, the others arent.

The Alias promos for this year are manipulated also. You have the cast in the background with Jennifer Garner prominent in the foreground, and it wouldn't be possible with the depth of field on a camera unless you were really really far away, which I doubt is the case. And Im not sure if that was because she wasn't around at the same time, but that was probably just their vision and what they thought to do.

Its almost taboo to find un-manipulated photos in the media.

sorry Echoia, I was practically asleep when I read the post lmao.

I agree with Raelynn. I doubt there are many pictures in the media that aren't manips.

I notice a lot of airbrushed images in magazines - mainly guys mags.

I will sit at work and someone flicking through fashion mags and someone will make a comment like "Wow she has such smooth skin"... this actually came up at lunch time today.

So someone said "Wow Jennifer Aniston has such smooth skin" and it's this full page article on how to get skin like a celeb and everything.

Anyway - so I have a closer look at this and you can see how she has blocks of facial hair one place and in the other place, it some how is smooth as a babies but - but it's not until you look really up close. Other parts they have air brushed over a bit of hair on the face and not bothered to redraw the strands on and you can totally tell.

I guess cos we know how it's done and how to manip an image and to improve it etc... we know the tell tale signs... in a way it spoils the fun, but in others its fun to be able to say to people in confidence... I KNOW that is airbrushed hehe

Heh, Shaz, that did wonders for my self-esteem when I realized it. I have good skin, it's like the thing that makes me feel pretty, but then when I see celebrties in magazines theirs looks SOOO much more perfect, then at about sixteen I started working on editing photos and one day was looking at magazines while waiting to check out and realized, Hey! I can DO that! : ) It's obvious once you know how to do it.
