I was wodnering if someone might be able to help me and maybe tell me where I can find a tutorial or script for an image gallery. Pretty much similar to the one here, Where I can just upload photos, have them made into a thumbnail and put into a gallery.
Thanks! :) |

There is one called Coppermine that is pretty popular. This link would probably be pretty helpful: http://hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Image_Galleries/index.html |

hmm.. i wouldn't go with coppermine. it think it's a little too cluttered. it has that message board look, if that's what you like. |

I like coppermine, it is good because it has search functions and such, you can download skins and customize them easily too. http://paris-bennett.org/photos/index.php <coppermine
if you are looking for something else, if you use photoshop there is the automat feature which will create a gallery and the HTML pages that go with it. They can be pretty nice, but maybe hard to maintain if you are looking to add to it on occaision.

Thanks everyone for your help! Linda, thanks for the link :) I was actually looking for a really basic code, just so I could upload photos to a page, have the thumbnails made and all that, rather than go into photoshop and edit like 200 pics. :D I did find some really helpful stuff at hotscripts though, so thank yoou! The only coding I've really done is html, so this is all pretty new :) |

close to that..only when I upload the images I want the script to 'make' thumbnails for the photos also. It gets tiring opening 728293792 pictures and making a thumbnail for each and everyone..also very confusing, because when I do it like that I always have to remember "so and so thumbnail goes with so and so picture"
I found a couple scripts, I'm going to try them out and see if they work right :)
