Anyone else a fan of his work? If you dont happen to know him, he did such movies as Full Metal Jacket, Eyes Wide Shut, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, and Lolita.
If you STILL dont know who Im talking about, there are some very famous lines that have come from his films:
"Here's JOHNNY!" - The Shining
"Me so horny, me love you long time" - Full Metal Jacket
"Open the pod bay doors, HAL." - 2001: A Space Odyssey
I haven't seen all of his films yet, like his very early works and Barry Lydon. My favorites are definately The Shining and Full Metal Jacket.
If you haven't seen any of his films I would recommend going out today to rent some. He is a master film maker. |

The Shining's one of my favorite movies of all time. I actually had my prom in the hotel they filmed part of it in. :) |

Yea The Shining is probably in my top 10, if not my top 20. That must've been freaky, but that hotel looks gorgeous! |

I love his movies. The Shining is amazing, and yes, that hotel must be gorgeous, with the huge maze and the snow, and... everything.
I really love A Clockwork Orange too. Alex is a really interesting character.
And Lolita is a very interesting movie too. But I've never watched Full Metal Jacket. I'll ask my dad to rent it next time we go to blockbuster ^__^ |

It was beautiful. Unfortunately we couldn't really wander around since there was some kind of convention going on. The room we had the dance in though was amazing.

Wow, having your prom hotel must have been scary, but awesome. Such a beautiful hotel :) And the intro to the Shining, all the scenery, is gorgeous :) |

Only parts of it were filmed in that hotel. I think it was just like filler shots and stuff. Most of it (like the maze) was shot in Colorado I think. |
