Wow you guys!
The vexel for charity day went SO well, there were a total of 87 vexels submitted which means $87 to charities! Thanks to all who took the effort to get a vexel or three up! It's amazing how sweet some people can be :) The luckiest charity? The RSPCA :)
I have just finished sending out all of the donations - if you'd like to see any of the thank you notices check here. I tried to put from www.Vexels.net but most wouldn't let me :P
Soo, what went where? I shall tell you!
RSPCA: $57
National Breast Cancer Foundation: $1
Human Society: $2
WI Humane Society: $1
Unicef: $7 (I put it for child immunisations)
Red Cross: $9
Safe Darfur Coalition: $1
Leukemia Lymphome Society: $1
World Wild Life: $1
Global Fund for Children: $1
Cancer Research UK: $1
Women for Women: $1
Oxfam: $2
Youth Off the Streets: $2
RSPCA (again because I thought I was $2 short but I ended up not being short so it's just uh.. extra lol)): $2
There were quite a few charities that were requested that aren't listed here. I tried to do everybodies charities but a lot wouldn't allow low donations, wouldn't allow an Australian address or their sites just didn't work. These are the following:
War Child, NSPCC, Macmillan.org.uk , Ronald McDonald House, Greenpeace, Komen.org, Marchofdimes.com.
All of the donations that were meant to be sent to these charities were given to the RSPCA :)
Next time: I don't have a set date, you will know about it when it happens :) I will be choosing 1 chairty though, although it's nice for everyone to choose their own.. it was a pain in the ass and I also don't like giving out my CC number to 20 different sites in one night.. that was kinda scary. But anyway, if you have a suggestion for a charity for next time let me know :) I found a lot of great ones from today :)
You all deserve cookies, I wish I could bake you all cookies.. but alas, now I am too poor to buy flour. Haha just kidding *gives you all cookies* |

I think for the charity next time why don't you choose someone randomly and ask them to say one. |

COOKIES !!! :D
I think for if you chose a charity though, most people would be more happy (i think) with a charity that helps people, not animals.
VFC rocks !! :D |

That's great!
I also agree with Mattness. I would have chose something different, but I thought it would be easier for you to leave it blank. |

yay! I'm kind of sad March of Dimes couldn't get a donation :( But the RSPCA is great charity also. Any money to any charity is fine by me :D It's nice to know that my 32897 hours of vexelling went towards something well worth it *eats cookie* |

I'm glad it was a success, unfortunately couldn't submit something myself. :( Although I have to disagree with Matt, I'm all for the Greenpeace/WWF kind of thing, but I also think more people are for people charity. And I actually I don't really care either, it's still very sweet of you Linda and there are so many great charities. :) |

Hmm I was thinking today maybe you could pick 2 charities next time? Because some people love animalcharities (RSPCA, etc), and others like humancharities more (UNICEF, etc).. Just a suggestion. :P |

I will just do a different charity each time :) I could alternate people - animal - people - animal etc :) I will just put up a poll closer to the time :) |

I wish I could have participated but I couldn't finish one in time. I'd like to see the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation featured sometime and some other lesser known charities because they don't get as many donations as the more popular charities like the breast cancer foundation and the red cross. |
