But you know, I think that people who are not into vexelling and don't know anything about the amount of work that goes into a realism vexel, like non-realism vexels better than realism-vexels. They'll probably wonder what the point is of making a digital recreation of reality. Other styles show more creativity, they create something new...
Maybe this was kinda pointless to say... |

maybe we should make some none realistic tutorials! I think realism takes a great amout of talent but so does anything that looks good you know? I just want to show that there is more to vexels than realism...like I know there are a lot of styles out there but just want to keep trying to see whats out there, Im not pushing my views on anyone else just trying to make know the relms of vexel... |

Lets see....I like realism...as long as there are elements added that aren't in the original. I enjoy the creativity involved. |

And dont worry, Im not heated anyone :P I am just passionate about stuff like this, even if it's something like vexels. I still love Linda and everyone else, and they still love me (atleast I hope.. I think.. did someone say coooookies?! :D)
Yeah of course. It's just a discussion I don't see where the problem is.

I'd definitely like to see other tutorials. I mean, realism is just where the road has taken me. I've tried other things and failed completely. |

I love realism - actually, a lot of the "creative" vexels, I don't like. To say that it takes more skill to do one than the other is not fair - I could do a vexel with no shading, and put no effort into it, and call it creative. Someone else could do 504598490535 layers out of habit with no effort involved, and call it realism.
To say that people who like realism liek it because they can't do creative is quite rude, imo. How would they feel if I said "Oh, you only go creative 'cause you can't do realism. Poor child:("
I also agree with Linda - there's not too much creativity in changing colours. |

I love realism, it looks so classy most of the times. BUT...I love it even more when it's combined with line art; like verucasalt82 does. And I agree with all of you with the creativity thing... I love changing pictures a bit myself and add weird make up or hair or anything. Then it becomes more a thing of yourself....
There is no style I love in particular. Line-art I love because of the illustration-element you get; you can do wicked things with it. Realism brings much emotion with it most of the times...and gradients are beautiful! |

I think there is a limit to realism one can possibly vexel to, I mean, why not just airbrush then? I love realism, but to a certain extent sometimes. I like to know that I'm actually looking at a vexel :D |
