Anyone got any hints on vexelling facial hair? Specifically stubble? I'm currently working on a project that requires it and I have no clue. |

I *once* did, and I would recommend first adding some shading on the skin.
Then, depending of the amount of hair, you could do each one separactly, changing the colors at whiles according to the light and all that. If at the end it still looks too flat you could add some low oppacities to add more shadows. Kind of like how you would vexel grass, if you had too.
If you vexel somewhat long hairs, remember those hairs are like eyebrows. They start more thick and gradually get thinner.
I think it also helps if the shading you add to the skin is atleast a bit choppy. To make the skin look less soft and hairless :P |
