Did any of those High School Juniors take the AP Language exam today? What'd you think?
I thought it was fair... well as fair as it can be which means HARD. |

I HATED the last essay! My hand was officiually broken... and I could smell a 1 on that essay!
Overall I disliked the essays a great deal. I thought that the flamingo one was a little difficult for a 40 minute essay. I ended up making an extended metaphor/symbolism of the flamingos characteristics to the characteristics of the United States. |

Ahaha, I've never heard of such AP Exams, unless they are more "official" names than the ones I'm used to. >_< The closest ones I can think of, sounding similar to Language, is .. English Language and English Literature?
Phoooey... I made a 2 on the former and a 3 on the latter. HAH! I suck at these things! but I was, and still am, pretty proud of my 4 in Art History. ``0 Ahahaa... APATHY was the best class I've ever taken in highschool. |

i loved the essays! call me weird...but yeah the last one wasn't my fav...altho i liked the middle one the least. but they weren't as bad as some other essays i've had to write.
i'm actually a senior so i took the other test last year (my school does things backwards) and i made a 3. if i get another 3 on this one i get out of 12 hours of english in college.
ooh and on the mult. choice i liked the passage about the dogs on escalators. :D |

I took English literature when I was in high school, and I remember that the essays were actually easier than I thought they were. I thought I bombed the test horribly and I ended up getting a 4 (and got a college English credit, YEAH!). Soooo, yeah. If you think you didn't do well don't worry, you probably did better than you think. :D |

Are you serious? Wow, totally different tastes. I liked the middle one the best. The last one I hated because with those arguments it is very hard to sound smart. And it was so difficult to relate it to literature that I just ended up relating it all to politics and television shows. I was thining of making an analogy with The Scarlet Letter but I decided against it. So I ended up talking about: Desperate Housewives (gay opinion), Terri Schiavo (government and state related), and then radio talk shows... but I can't remember what I wrote about that other than their opinions show both sides of "the story" and therefore are "worthwhile." |
