Cats by far :D They're so affectionate and don't take so much work. My dog is lovely and I love her and everything but to just let her in the house I have to pick everything up that she might want to chew and then she goes and licks everything so I have to have a shower afterwards.. I hate dog drool! |

| used to be soo scared of dogs, until we actually got one. Now I adore them. Then I got afraid of cats, until I got two of them 2 months ago..
I don't really know yet. Right now I'd say I'm more of a dog person than a cat person, but I think that's just because I've never had cats until recently..
@ Linda: Here it's exactly the other way around. The dog never makes a mess, while the cats... oh my god, I have to hide everything from them. The killed my gorgeous headset (which was new), and my even more beautiful and perfect keyboard (which was even newer).. =P |

I had both.
And I loved both. xD
Cats are easier to handle because you don't need to go for a walk and stuff and you can just ask the neighbour to feed it while you're on a holiday trip. It's way more complicated with a dog.
But therefore I think a dog .... can be "closer" to a person than a cat but. Well, it depends. But I do hate the smell of a dog. xD |

Dogs are usually sweeter, but cat are easier to handle. I can't really decide, I generally like more cats, but I love my dog so much.
The bad thing about cats is that tthey love you, or they hate you. There's not a middle point with them. |

cats hate me. probably because I hate them. I've had both and dogs, i think, are the better animal. cause dogs can't scratch you like a motherf*c*er. LOL. Maybe its cause Im a guy, but dogs are awesome! |

i kinda agree with that lol. But my doggy doesn't stink, i also think dogs can be "closer" cats are different, they're independant, which is great but they don't always have to look up to you, their owner, for everything. (except for indoor cats) plus dogs don't have litterboxes XD but its almost equal for me, leaning a tad more towards dogs

Not all kitties need litter boxes. My cats do their business in the yard (they dig a hole then bury their business). Hurrah! No icky litter trays!

I <3 cats, basically for the same reasons Linda said, theyre affectionate and don't take much work. I'd hate walking a dog everyday and picking up poop, I'd rather just change the litter box and thats it. Though I do wish cats didn't have the ability to jump 43823 feet. |

Hm .. I'm not sure. i guess I prefer dogs ... that don't smell. I hate the smell of wet dogs.
If I was going to have eiether a dog or a cat it'd be a tiny dog - a chihuahua. I don't think I could have had big dog. |
