I hope this is in the right forum. If not, Linda can you please move it? Sorry.

I was wondering, do you all stick to one clothing style, or do you wear anything you like? I myself (being a guy, I guess you knew that but it might be clearing lol) am kind of an alternative. I wear both jeans and gothic-like pants, punk shirts and sloppy shirts, punk shoes or skater shoes, while I wear this vest that mostly black people/skaters etc. (yannow?) would wear, bus as well just a kind of 'normal' (no idea if itd be a certain style and which one) coat. Then I wear a silver necklace-ish-thing, and these sweat tie things all the time. I actually mostly just wear three shirts, all black. Actually, all of my clothes, except my jeans and socks, are black.
Well, I think I kind of got off topic now lol but anyway.. I kind of wear everything, being kind of alternative, but lately I had this conversation with someone who had a lot of styles clothes, but was afraid to wear multiple styles because she thought people would find her a fake. (I dont really get why she'd give a .. what others think but that might be just me.) So what do you think? I mean, I am like: I wear what I want and what other people think, I dont care. But yeah.. So whatcha think?

I dress kinda punkish or emo, I guess. Really, it just so happens that it's hard to tell if clothes in that style are dirty. I just dress how I find comfortable, and if that's evil-satan-worshipping-goth-girl one day, and slutty-little-skank (not that i ever do either), well, so be it.

I don't limit it to one style, that's boring :( I mostly wear whatever clothes are in the shops because, well, I like them :p I'm not really into anything too crazy.. I don't like attention and I don't need psycho clothes to "define me" like so many people say they do. I would say I mostly wear pretty girly stuff like skirts and pretty tops but ehh not always by any means!

In german they call my clothes "Alternative" but i dont think it has the same meaning in english.
i just wear what i like, which - most of all, are jeans - boycut as well as tight ones combined with a usual top. but i also love band tshirts and stuff. well, some of you might now samaire armstrong alias anna stern in the oc, and people say i kind of dress like her sometimes. (just not thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat colorful and mixed up because she really looks crazy sometimes.)
i buy my clothes like everywhere. i do not really mind if someone else has the same shirt or anything because i always combine my stuff so that it just looks like me. but basically its all about feeling comfortable xD

*blinks and looks around nervously* Almost every style mentioned, when shown to me, looks exactly like the last to me : / I can't differentiate between 'alternative' and 'preppy'; basically it's all 'preppy' to me unless it's 'gothic' which makes me giggle ... *giggles* ; )

I spend virtually no time deciding what to wear. I dress either 'Dressy' or 'Casual'. I don't try to make a statement with my clothes and if the rest of you are trying to do so ; ) I'm not picking up on 'em.

@Matt
Sorry I didn't see what you wrote about the person you talked to. I do know what you get and I also know what she (he?) means. I know a lot of girls who used to dress like punks / goths and even called themselves Punks / Goths but didn't really know what the whole Goth - being (like the political thoughts and opinions and stuff ) was like. So _that's wrong. I absolutely disapprove of that - pretending being someone you're not. But just... wear clothes which look like that and not claiming actually being a Punk ... is okay. Well, whatever.
I don't mind. xD I do have friends who wear the tightest skirts ever, I do have friends which only wear jeans and some who dress pretty lady-like and stuff. It's the character what counts, not the clothes! xD

She, yes.
Yeah I agree about the people who call themselfs punk but arent. Though I'm afraid she doesnt. I think she thinks that if you wear punk/goth-like clothes you say you are. Nah, hard to expain.
But thanks. =]

Nhaw... I know exactly what youre talkning about. There are soo many girlies in our school who would totally agree with "her". LOL. I just can't stand them but still I just ignore those girls who just think that they are the coolest ever. That's something I just don't get: Why is being "dark", "sad" and stuff "cool"?? Since when? .... Hate it. I like being .... happy. xD

My style changes all the time. Somedays I might dress gothic, some punk, some casual, sometimes girlie (and never chavvy or r'n'b hip hop style). It changes with my mood I guess. I'm not in any 'label' either.

I tend to dress casual, sometimes I wear trendy stuff if I really like it.. just whatever looks good to me and is comfortable. ;)
I live in my jeans though.. I don't have other pants besides jeans.

I dress preppy. But sometimes I dress up like a goth [see pics at my eljay] to have fun. I agree with Linda. Don't try to limit your style.

I would love to dress like a fruit/ko-gal.

I wear all different kinds of stuff. I love business casual, which is what I wear most of the time. I have my nice pants with a pair of heels and a pretty tank with a sweater over it with lots of jewelry. I make my own jewelry, so I also have this retro/mod look, since thats usually the kind of beads I use. I love vintage, so I have a bit of that feel to some of my clothes, though its usually accessories.

I also love to just wear a band tee and jeans (band tees include coheed, mars volta, death cab, pink floyd, etc). And I LOVE vans slipons. IMO, the best shoes on earth, and I have a few pairs of those. Lots and lots of flip flops, which I have retired for this year, since its getting cold. I wear hoodies when Im just going over to a friends house.

Im not much into having my brands on my clothes, but there are a few that I like to buy from because the money is worth the quality and look of the items, such as Nice West, Fossil, and Victoria Secrets, those are just a few of my favorite places to shop.

I dont really limit myself, but I always go for comfort. If its not comfy, its not worth wearing.

I love to mix stuff around, create something original. I love to design and make my own clothes, I usually get inspired by famous singers or actors or whatever. Like Gwen Stefani, or Christina Aguilera. They both have such great original styles.

I don't really have a brand myself. Don't think I have a style, either, though those closest to me have said that I dress really weird sometimes, like TACKY, which is interestingly cool ?? o_0 Ahaha, Yeah, sometimes, I like being UNfashionable, and I look ugly, but who cares.

I'm a very casual dresser. Mostly tshirts and jeans. Ocassionally, I'll feel pretty and want to wear something that reflects my feeling. ``] But then I am saddened when I find that I have only two very casual, long skirts and no shirts that are dressy but not TOO dressy. ``/ ya know? ahaha... X_X

I'd have to say one of my fave kind of clothing are HOODIES! I lurrrve hoodies. ``DDD and Not them weaksauce, super stylish ones, either. Thick enough to keep me warm and extra comfy. ^___^!

i love my jeans!
i own more than 15 pairs (not admitting how many i own :P)
NOTE: if you live in Burlington, Ontario, Canada (i visit there every summer) there is the best clothing store ever! go to the jeans store and they have like 300 different pairs of jeans although they are quite pricey because some of them he gets for me are off the runway.
i usually wear them with a pain white tank (that i write a nice phrase on)

i would say i dressed kinda smart/casual...i tend to stick to mainstream themes,as i would say i was a fashion victim.lol

but i find its not what you wear, its how you wear it...the same shirt can look completly differnt on two differnt people...depending on how they wear it!

Does it really matter what people wear? As long as what you're wearing is something that you genuinely like, you don't need to justify your reasons for wearing it. People who immediately categorize and label you by what you wear obviously don't know you nor do they take the time to get to know you.

I will wear anything and everything, so long as it suits me. I'm not ready to jump out and wear baggy ass pants, or huge tops, they'll just make me look even fatter. :p

I wear anything that grabs my attention and is colourful or has some certain aspect to it that makes it stand out. I just wear whatever I want but without being plain -- i don't like to be plain. :P

"Kudos to you for being creative!" said my mother, "but I don't think you'll be getting any boyfriends looking like that."

... I'll show her. >_< I'll show her good! lol

Ummm Matt... I don't know if you know this but the term "niggah" is an offensive word and I would really appreciate it if you refrained from using that word as I do find it offensive. :D

Anyways, I wear whatever I like, I love colorful things with nice fit, My taste tends to be kind of expensive but whatever, I consider myself to dress unique becuase I love to mix and match but still look sophisticated and pulled together. But it sucks because durring the winter I can't stand the cold so Im basicly stuck with jeans and a jacket kind of thing or pants of some sort lol

i dress 'rock chick' i suppose....baggy jeans...black tshirts (mostly), hoodies, stud/star belts...that kind of thing. Those kind of clothes do reflect my taste in music, but i hate hate hate being called 'emo'. Emo is a stupid word.

my style is rather simple. Tees and jeans. Occasionally khakis or black pants. My shirts are usually graphic tee's and from old navy..

[off topic] Did you know that abercrombie was sued for (A) Making shirts viciously offensive towards asians (B) Child pornography and (C) Only hiring white people who are "attractive".. they lost all of the law suits. XP [/off topic]

but now that i think about it i do have these cool cordoroy (sp?) pants from old navy that are dark brown and soft.. no wait.. they're velvet XP

living in singapore restricts what you wear alot, the temperature here is about 30-35 deg celsius year round and its very humid so most people would wear very light and casual clothing. for me i usually go out in my jeans and any T shirt i find in my wardrobe. funny thing is most of my clothes inside have stripes. i never actually realised until my girlfriend told me that almost everything i wear have stripes on it. when i go out at night or when its cold i'd just bring my jacket around, i have few of those :P
