Argh. I think I might quit vexeling; ever since my "electric girl" vexel, my skills have been deteriorating instead of improving. lkghaslkgjag It should be the opposite! Maybe that was the high point of my vexeling days :(.

Anyways, I've been a lot more involved in my traditional artwork lately, as I'm applying for an arts boarding school in California. Plus, a lot of my classes have assigned us projects which require some sort of illustration or art stuff.

Here're some watercolors I did for my french oral presentation; It's supposed to be about high fashion, so I chose to do some outfits from Marc Jacob's "Marc" collection. It turns out I only need three, though, and I'm having some trouble trying to pick those out; Can you guys help? >_<

Those look great! Very nice proportions. A lot of people would be surprised, but even people who pursue something like graphic design need to pocess some tradional art skills, such as observational drawing. There are so many things that come with it, such as angles, light sources, proportions, etc, that can improve other areas of art. Im a big fan of traditional art, and so a lot myself (my favorite medium is charcoal).

Thanks anne :D

I totally agree, Raelynn; And charcoals are one of my favorite mediums, as well! My other favorites include pastels and watercolors. I'm horrid with acrylics and oils, though; I hate how oils take so long to dry, and how the colors kind of blend together themselves.

O Wow shelley, I love those! The second, the third and the fifth are some of my faves but I don't think it really matters which ones you use.. they're all beautiful. :)

Use #8 use #8 USE #8!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think your skills have deteriorated, though. I think 'bound and broken' is my favorite one of yours. People to have high points, though... where would VH1 be without their unyielding tributes to one-hit wonders? : P

I love watercolors :) Esepcially fashion watercolors, its so neat! I've done a few non-oil pastel works too, and it was interesting, and I stained one of my favorite hoodies in the process :\ A friend of mine who is an awesome illustrator HATES getting his hands dirty, so he cant stand pastels. He's such a priss sometimes.
