| Haha... I think I drank too much sugar when I added the onion on his shoulder. Anyways, I had started my self portrait and showed a friend a progess, and he asked if I could do a vexel of him, so I thought, "Why not?" Sooo, after messing around for a couple of days, I came up with this! He's a pretty big fan of the style in "A Scanner Darkly", so I kind of tried to do something like it. First time messing around with gradients (Barely used), and the picture was a tad difficult to vexel, since there was this insanely huge flash on his face that messed up all the colors. A little different from my other stuff, eh? :) Oh, and the title, and onion? Well, my friend's name sounds like the word "onion", so we'd always call him that :D. |

The technique they used is called rotoscoping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotoscope) other technique's are cell shading I believe it's called, much like you would find in comic books and such cell shading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cel-shaded_animation Sample: http://www.lazyorange.co.uk/index.php?page=tutorial You did a good job of it, maybe you'll be doing the next movie ...haha!
