First Vexel ,Kristen Stewart |
Well, this is my first vexel *dies a million deaths*
It took like 4 hours I think, which is pitiful because it looks like it was thrown together in 15 minutes *cries* I didn't use any tutorials, which is probably why it's so crappy.
The eyes got screwed up bad...
Constructive Critisism is highly appreciated.
It's of Kristen Stewart from Panic Room, Catch That Kid, and Cold Creek Manor.
It really doesn't look anything like her.

wow this is good for a first.
the top lip looks a bit rough so maybe you could smooth it out.
and maybe add some noticable eyelashes.
but yea you should try a tutorial.
they helped me out a bit but vexelling is just not my thing. lol
i've gotten into lineart.
its good to try different things
but its good for your first, just keep practicing |

That's really good for your first one! I love the hair and the lips! And don't worry abotu not using tutorials..it's better to have your own style than anyone elses..you can improve your own, but it's probably a lot harder to improve on someone else's, you know what i mean?

Thank you lol. And yeah, that does make a lot of sense.
My problem is that I started out a doller, using tools to shade, so my first instinct is to head for the burn and dodge tools when something needs to be lighter or darker lol. It's weird using layers to do it instead *nodnod* But everyones gotta start out somewhere. *shrug*

It's very choppy .. I'd suggest using tutorials; the ones linked here are amazing.
I really do like the eyes, though. It looks like you worked really hard on the vexel, even if it's choppy. It's your first, of course it's not going to look amazing.
