lol weird title, isn't it?
here's the story behind this picture if you are interested lol:
i once fell in love with this character i so chose to vexel. until he started flirting with my best friend.

You are imporving, the shading looks great.
But the edges look too sharp, so unless you're using MS Paint try to fix that.
And also, try using other kind of backgrounds, not the one from the original stock, it just dosn't look pretty. Maybe gradients, on a plain color with a white or black frame.
Edit: the edges look sharp on the nose and the outline of the face. Maybe it's just the settings you have for the compression of the image. Try making the compression lower... on photoshop it asks you when you save your image as jpg, and in paint shop pro you can change it at the save screen, on the options button.
I have no idea about other programs, tough. Sorry if that dosn't help.

I agree, you are improving, and it looks awesome :) My only suggestion is to lighten the dark lines that outline the nose, the piece might flow better :) I love the neck! ^^
