i don't normally like the jaggedy, posterised look, but for this i think it definitely works. gives it more of a realistic feel :)

Aww! Thanx! It was a learning experience. I think the jaggedy, posterised look was a one time deal for me so I am glad somebody likes it. :)

*I* could tell it wasn't a filter. *L* posterized pics look MUCH worse than that.
i'm a beginner too. i think it looks great. the skin tones are a bit tricky to pick out, eh? |

That looks like a filter.
Edit: Oh okay. Well, as you practice more, try experimenting with skin tones and not copying the colors of the image as it's posterized. Grow your imagination :D

Then I wasted my time, huh? It's a full fledge vexel, layer by layer, shape by shape, color by color. I do understand what you mean though, the reason it looks that way is because I didn't change the skin colors from the posterize and I used a low posterize setting to make the background, hair and jacket.
I know it's not much of a excuse but this IS my second vexel and I am still learning. =)
