Nice job Katy, landscapes are hard to do, so good luck. I know you'll have that mastered in no time. :D |

i love the simplicity, and how at the point where water meets water, it really looks like the white froth is jumping up! ;D cute. |

gawgeous! i absolutely love the waterfall and the white mist at the bottom :D +fav
btw, did you use stroke path for the green lines on the side?
edit: ah, good ole illustrator. i'd use it, except for some reason i can never get bright colors in illustrator. actually, after some searching, i've found the thread about my problem from a long time ago. no one could tell me how to fix it, but maybe you can? http://www.vexels.net/mbtopic.php?id=1773

I use Illustrator so it's just regular stroke, so yes I did. Then I just used the pencil tool to free draw them.

I <3 it. The waterfall is amazing, and the simple style on the rocks and the vegetation gives the vexel a very unique look, that makes me think about faeries and magic and children books.

I love love the water. Very cool. I'm not sure if I really like the leaves and flowers on the rocks though, they seem to take away the mainfocus of the waterfall. Also I'm not sure about how chunky the rocks are on the side, it contrasts with the waterfall in quite a heavy way. This may sounds like I don't like it at all, but the opposite is true.. it's amazing. :D I hope to see more of you soon! |

Very interesting style. The water looks nice and organic, but some of the other elements look very flat.
If you are bored with portraits, how about doing poeple in motion?
Well collages sounds fun as well:)

Thanks! I hate to be one of those 'but I did that on purpose!' people, but Im trying to figure out how to make objects that have depth (the water) and flat objects (everything else?) work together. There was this vector artist that was on the internet a few years ago that I cannot find for the life of me that did scenarios like this and just made it work so wonderfully, so that's what Im trying to achieve.
